AHSRA is a registered charity and not for profit company run by volunteers which aims to provide sports and recreation facilities for all ages in the local community. The Pavilion Room fundraising team are a friendly group who are always looking for additional volunteers to join them. The income that they generate is vital to being able to maintain and improve the facilities.
They run fundraising activities, such as a pop-up cafe, Easter or Halloween celebrations, lunches, cream teas etc as well as supporting the larger community events such as Picnic in the Park, The Platinum Jubilee, The Coronation, DDay-80 and Lighting of the Christmas Tree.
The group also provides lunch on a regular basis for a group of people who may find it less easy to get out and about. This is prepared and served by volunteers and who offer transport as needed.
